Malaysia has decided to impose temporary anti-dumping duties on cold-rolled stainless steel plates originating in mainland China, China Taiwan, Thailand and other places

Malaysian Ministry of International Trade and Industry issued a notice on 11 November that the anti-dumping investigations of cold-rolled stainless steel plates originating in mainland China, South Korea, China Taiwan and Thailand had preliminary results and rulings on 9 October.

The survey said that after investigation, the above-mentioned areas of cold-rolled stainless steel producers or exporters of dumping as follows:

China mainland: TISCO stainless steel 14.64%, the other 23.95%;

South Korea: Pohang Iron and Steel (POSCO) -6.02%, modern steel 0.70%, modern BNG steel -43.82%, other 7.27%;

China Taiwan: Huaxin Lihua 13.77%, Jiafa Industrial 19.78%, Ye Ye 21.15%, Tangrong 31.88%, D & S Global Limited 44.38%, Qianxing Stainless Steel 52.17%, Others 52.17%

Thailand: POSCO-Thainox 24.88%, other 111.61%.

Therefore, in addition to South Korea's Pohang Iron and Steel (POSCO), modern steel and modern BNG steel, all of other steel manufacturers need to be charged temporary imposition of anti-dumping duties, tax rates and corresponding the same degree of dumping, since October 12, 2017.

The final decision will be made within 120 days from 12 October 2017.
